Space Times
Welcome to Space Times! Our thesis is to provide an evolving roadmap of the state of the space industry.
Space is a vast and complex subject, and the media that covers it is mostly focused on topical news that provides disjointed snapshots of individual events, or business and technological advances out of context. So we started Space Times to cover the news, but in a way that provides our audience more context, and teaches them how to keep track of the bigger picture.
To do this we approach everything from two angles: business and technology. Harrison Lambert is a space systems engineer focused on explaining technical features, and Paul Mayer is a space venture capitalist focused on explaining business implications. Together we bring 15+ years of experience in the new space industry to help you navigate everything going on.
We hope to help anyone interested in space, not just those working and investing in it, get as excited about it as we are!

Harrison Lambert
Harrison is an aerospace engineer and entrepreneur with 12 years of experience in engineering and business. He’s worked on design, production, and operation of geocomm, earth observation, modular platforms, space tugs, space solar power, RPO, and edge compute satellites at Loft Orbital, Momentus, and Space Systems Loral where he met Paul, his close friend and co-host of Space Times Podcast. Harrison is currently a systems engineer at Loft deploying AI applications to space, but has worked on GNC, structural, and manufacturing engineering to provide a well rounded background for designing new spacecraft architectures and mission profiles. When not building new software, hardware, and business for space, he does market and technical consulting for investors and startups working in the space industry.
Harrison’s favorite non-space activity is playing piano and oil painting
Harrison’s dog Meco is named after the Main Engine Cut Off callout from rocket launches

Paul Mayer
Paul is a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer turned Venture Capital Investor and Operator. He brings a background including 6 years of industry engineering experience working on some of the most innovative and challenging space vehicles through his time at Space Systems Loral which has since become a part of the Intuitive Machines family. Supplementing that industry knowledge with an MBA from the University of Chicago and 3 years of investing with Cultivation Capital in Geospatial and Technology companies, Paul currently serves as the Director of Product at Charter Space – closing the insurance gap and rapidly maturing the Space Economy. Paul consults with and advises startups and founders on their business, revenue, and fundraising models and strategies, invests at the Angel and Pre Seed rounds, and runs the Space Times Podcast with his close friend and co-host Harrison.
